frequently asked questions

How do I book a session?

Sessions can be booked online under our "Packages" tab. After reviewing the packages select the button “I am ready to book my session”. This will lead you to our booking form that asks for additional information regarding your shoot.

Do you require a deposit?

A $50 deposit is due for all bookings. The deposit holds your date and time(based on availability) and is applied towards your session balance.

 

How do I pay the remaining balance?

After your deposit is paid, the remaining balance will be invoiced to you via email one week before your session. The remaining balance must be paid in full 24 hours prior to the shoot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any client who does not cancel or reschedule within 48 hours will forfeit the $50 deposit and it will serve as a cancellation fee. The fee can be credited towards a future session if the client reschedules the session within 48 hours prior to the date and time of session. Re-booking must be an agreeable date and time.

How do I book a wedding consultation?

Send me an email at info@dejahodges.com to book your FREE wedding consultation.  We will pick a date to meet in person or virtually based on your comfortably. During the consultation, we will go over the different packages, payment plan options, your expectations, and review contracts.

How long will it take to get my photos after the session?

Photos are edited and emailed over to you within 7-10 business days.

 

How will the photos from my session be delivered?

The photos will be delivered to your email with a link to your private online gallery. From there, you can download your photos with the provided password and share the link with friends and family.

Can I choose the images I want after the session?

All photographs are chosen by the photographer and delivered to you in a timely manner.  As your photographer, it is my responsibility to deliver you quality work. When going through the images, I ensure that the best out of the bunch are selected.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. The number of photo's you receive is based on the package that you choose. Additional images can be purchased.

 

Do you release the original unedited raw files?

The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for  photographers. Therefore, we do not release the unedited RAW images.

 

Do you watermark your photos?

No! We strongly believe you should have photos that are unmarked. We do, however, ask for credit by name when used on social media platforms, in public, or for marketing purposes.

My photography concept is not listed on your site. How can I see if you are willing to shoot a specific concept?

We have experience in many fields of photography. Feel free to contact us at info@dejahodges.com and we'd be happy to discuss your desired photography concept.

Do you shoot Birthday Parties, Baby Showers, Gender Reveal's, Surprise Engagements, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, or Corporate Events?

Yes. These are all considered “Events Photography.” We would love to cover your event or celebration.

I am not sure what to wear? Do you recommend outfits?

Yes! We'd be happy to provide outfits ideas and inspiration. Reach out to us after booking your session and we can come up with ideas together based on your style.

 

Do you have any location suggestions for my outdoor photography session?

Yes, we have a long list of locations that we would be happy to suggest based on your desired session.
